How Do I Get the Best WordPress Plugin for My Website?

How Do I Get the Best WordPress Plugin for My Website?

Frankly speaking this blog post on how do I get the best WordPress plugin for my website is the continuation of the same blog post, and the idea of writing on this came into my mind because of some bloggers always asking me about different plugins. Especially when it comes about SEO of a WordPress blog many bloggers are confused about which plugin they should use for.

When SEO of a WordPress site is concerned, there are three plugins which comes into our consideration one being All in One SEO Pack, Greg’s High Performance SEO and the other one is WordPress SEO by Yoast. Many bloggers usually ask me about which one they should use for the SEO of their website?

It is undoubtedly true that all three SEO plugins of WordPress are quite popular and all of them have different perspective. Many people simply consider if three of them are so useful then why not we can use all three or any two of them on our website?

Frankly using two plugins for the same purposes is not a good or recommended suggestion. To be very honest, try to use only one plugin for one purpose. Like SEO plugins there are so many plugins available with WordPress for the same purposes. When you search for some functionality on your website, you might encounter many plugins of similar nature. Identifying which one is better for your website is a difficult choice to make.

And hence this blog post of mine on how do I get the best WordPress Plugin for my website. Read on this post along with the precaution post (the link I shared above) and do share your opinion about them in the form of comments here.

How Do I Get the Best WordPress Plugin for My Website?

You too feel difficulties in selecting the best plugin for your website, here are a few tips which should help you to decide the best WordPress plugin for your website:

Compatibility Issue

The first thing which you must need to assess before clicking on install for any WordPress plugin is that it should be compatible to your blog’s other functionality and the version of the WordPress software which your blog is using.

Find out the reviews of the plugin; try to assume if it will remain compatible to your WordPress blog in future as well. Try to understand your needs and then find out if this plugin is compatible to your needs or you still need some other plugins to support your need?

Popularity of Plugin

As I said in my last blog post as well that you should check how popular is the particular plugin which you are going to install on your blog. Obviously number of downloads of a particular plugin is one of the finest indication about the popularity of the same. You can see the pattern of downloads as well and it can clearly give you an idea about the popularity of the plugin which you are thinking to use.

Future Plan

Obviously no one knows the future of anything, but as far as a plugin is concerned, you cannot rely on it blindly. You never know when the team or the company developing the plugin stop updating it, and it will become useless for you in future.

So the best way to decide about it is to see the history of the plugin. You can get the best picture if you see that the team which is developing the plugin is having a history of updating it for different issues and versions of WordPress. Always trust the brands for purchasing the plugin.

Live Support

With free plugins support are not much concerned thing, but when it comes about purchasing a plugin for some specific purposes, I would suggest everyone to go for the company which provides the best support to its users. Analyze the support which comes with plugin and you can be able to get the best WordPress plugin for your website.

Considering these 4 factors along with the precautions which I mentioned in my last blog post you can easily get the best WordPress plugin for your website. Remember that it is the functionalities of your website which makes it stand different in crowd and it is plugins which makes it possible. So plugins is very much required, but along with precautions is also very much essential.
