Many bloggers asks me about how to make a successful blog or how to become a successful blogger? I have written so many blog posts on those things, but this time I thought to come up with some key factors which are very much required for transforming your blog into an extraordinary one from an ordinary one.

Let us discuss about the 7 ingredients or key factors which are very much essential behind the success of a blog. If you are a person who uses to read different blog posts, I am quite sure you must have gone through thousands of blogs. At least you were going through a few hundred blog on a daily basis. But can you please tell me how many of those blogs which you encounter daily remains in your memory?

I guess only a few, and you love to either subscribe to them or visit them again. Let us say 10 blogs out of hundred which you visit daily.

Do you know the reason why?

It is because not all blogs are developed in a way that it can attract its visitors. There are so many blogs which goes unnoticed too. Reason being they are not developed in a proper way. Now you might argue with me about the definition of proper way, though you cannot argue about these points which are crucial for the success of any blog:

Blogging Platform

The first thing which any search engine or even visitor too notices is the blogging platform on which it has been developed. If a blog is developed on free blogging platforms like blogger which has the extension like blogspot.com or blogspot.in or on wordpress.com or even on tumblr.com then neither search engine nor the visitor notices it much.

There are very rare chance that a good blog from those free blogging platform can feature in the search results page of any highly competitive keywords in Google or any other search engine. If by chance it get a place over there, then there are chances that visitors too won’t click on them to visit, considering it a free and a non-serious bloggers blog.

On the other hand bloggers who are using customized domain name (no matter on which blogging platform) or bloggers who are using self-hosted WordPress are likely to get more attention of search engines as well as of their visitors too.

So it is the reason why I always recommend using self-hosted WordPress as blogging platform for your blog. I do agree that it is a bit costly but then the returns which you are getting in lieu of it are making it worthy.

Domain Name

As I mentioned above too that no matter which blogging platform are you using but a customized domain name is something which can compensate for it. Although whatever I said above, simply does not define the importance of the domain name in the success of a blog. Domain name is one of the most important consideration and factor behind the success of any blog.

If you are using a proper name for your blog, and a memorable one, then there are chances that it can be easily remembered by its visitors and they will prefer looking back to it, as they might remember it. But if you have selected a domain name which is quite extra ordinary and people feel difficulty in remembering it, then there are chances that people will try avoiding it.

Other than that a domain name also plays a crucial role in the SEO of your blog. You should include your primary keyword in it.

Web Hosting

The third point which is very important is the web hosting which you selected for your blog. Remember that these days bounce rate and blog loading time are two very important factors behind the success of any website as far as search engine optimization is concerned. It is a process which will make sure to give visitors to your website through featuring your site in search engine results pages.

Thus considering the site loading time and visitors smooth navigation experiences on your website, web hosting becomes a very important factor of your blog.
