  1. Helpful post! Although I do follow some of these, it was still a learning for me. But I think writing quality content is the best strategy!

    1. Only writing quality content is not the key Renuka. To reach to the first page of Google you also need so many things other than it. Thank you so much for sharing your feeling with us 🙂

      1. I agree with Alok, All the successful bloggers concentrate on SEO and marketing as much as they do on writing quality content. it is not necessary that quality content will get discovered by it selves.

        1. Absolutely right Gowardhan, I am glad that you liked it. Thanks a lot 🙂

  2. I don’t think of so many points, Alok!
Just write what I want to or respond to the prompts to create content.
Thanks for sharing the useful points 🙂

    1. You are right Anita, no one does consider so many points and this is the reason why I pointed out them. 🙂 Thanks for all your support and love.

Its a nice and effective top to be on top. But what for Hindi Bloggers ? I think most of the people search their queries in English Language for e.g if I want to search “Amritsar” I will write Amritsar not ā¤…ā¤ŽāĨƒā¤¤ā¤¸ā¤° , so it becomes difficult to be a searchable item.

    1. Dear Yogi Sarasway jee, thanks a lot for sharing your concern with us, but please do understand the fact that Google or any other search engines usually provide searches in Hindi as well. If you do search through selecting the Hindi language option it will automatically give value to your post which is relevant to its search. But then you might ask how many searches?

Since the number of searches in Hindi are less, and hence not many bloggers are focusing on writing blogs in Hindi. But then as now Google has added Hindi in Adsense as well, so soon the searches in Hindi will also increase.

Second thing which I may say about it, is you need not to worry much about language, what I feel is that Google must be translating it while indexing any page, though I am not much sure about it…

  4. Alok Bhai Sahab I am much confused about the canonical tags. Shall I need to edit my template each time I create a new post ?

    1. No Sampat Kumari jee. In our case (I mean blogs) you need to make sure that there should not be more than one copy of any page of our site… And that is the all…

  5. Very helpful post. I am on Blogger. It redirects mobile users to ?m=1 parameter URL. I’m not sure weather it uses canonical tag or not. How can I make sure that it does ?

    1. Dear Rajat, thanks for asking this, but as far as the display of the same content on desktop and mobile is concerned, so far Google is not considering it as a bad thing. As per them it is fine. Though as far as using the canonical tag is concerned, I am not sure about how it can be managed in Blogger.

  6. This is a very helpful post Alok. I used to ask a few questions from these unconsciously and I had never heard of the canonical urls and the long tail keywords. Those two are something which I have never used but from the looks of it, it seems that I should focus on them specifically. I shall try incorporating them in my further posts from now on..

    1. Those two are two most important things as far as SEO at this day is concerned.

  7. Very informative post and I do follow most of the things mentioned in this article, I am a regular reader of your blog and I like the way you frame up the content. Great work.
