How to Master the Art of Blogging?

Today being the birthday of mine, I was wondering about what topic I should pick to write. Here is a small blog on how to master the art of blogging so that you can be able to prepare a deadly blog.

As I have written so many things on blogging and blogging tips, I was unable to decide a topic on which I should write today. I was not in a mood to write a lengthy post, but then I was also not in a mood to write some useless post. And hence, after considering so many topics I came up with this one.

Components of a Blog

I always say that blogging is an art. Those who have the by birth talent can easily master it, but then what about those who don’t have this art naturally? Can’t they be able to be a pro or expert blogger?

Well, it is not like that. Practice makes a person perfect and it applies with blogging as well. If you are on right track and have passion towards blogging, soon you can also become an expert blogger.

4 Basic Components of a Blog Post

Before explaining you about how can we master the art of blogging, let me first tell you all about the basic components of a blog post, which can make a blog post engaging, attractive and readable. Here are some of the basic components of a blog post which can convert a blog post into a great one:

Title or Headline

The first thing which can attract the attention of any readers is the title or headline of your blog. As I already said in a blog post on how to create a perfect title for your blog that I myself consider my ability to prepare a catchy title as insignificant one and need to improve on it; with time I might improve upon it.

A great title consists of a great key phrase, which can attract visitors as well as the search engines too. You should always make sure to find out a great keyword or a keyword phrase through which people usually search and can reach to your blog.

Try to include title or headline in the post as well, and if possible you can also make it as H1 or H2 tag from SEO point of view. Make sure that the same title should not be used twice as H1 tags; it was the mistake which I was also doing with some of the posts on I News India. Sometimes it happens that your template might convert the title of your post into a H1 tag, and then you should not give the same heading as H1 tag again in the post.

Introduction

The first paragraph of a blog is something which can make sure if the reader is going to read your post or not. The introduction can only will either keep people reading or force them to click on back or close button.

You should prepare the introduction in the manner so that it can initiate the conversation with your blog readers, and compel them to read it further. You might have noticed that while I create the introductory paragraph for my blogs, I always try to include the headline as well into it.

You should always use the main key phrase or targeted terms in introduction as well.

Content

It is the main content which you write after the introduction paragraph and it is your duty that it should not deviate from the title which you used in your post. Do remember the fact that title is like you are promising something, and the content should be the same which should fulfill that promise to your readers.

Do consider this with an example, you invited one of your friends for some party and instead of giving treat to them you started discussing on some official matter. I am quite sure that friend will never pick up your phone call.

Similar is the situation with blogs as well, if you picked up a topic and started serving information about something else, your blog readers will immediately click on close or back button and they won’t ever try to land on your blog as well.

Here are some things which can make your blog post and main content more attractive:

Sub-Headings

These are important as you know the fact that many readers of our blog don’t go through the entire post, they usually skim through the headings only. In addition to this, there are people who don’t like reading all content posts, so for them sub headings are required. Also it is a way to decorate your content.

Bullet Lists

These are also one of the most important aspects of a great content. I have seen many bloggers or content marketers to write the entire content in bulleted list. I usually don’t like this approach.

In my opinion bullet lists can be used to display some important points of your content.

Images / Videos / Graphics

In total media elements like images, videos, graphics, info-graphics can convert your blog post into a great post. Use them properly in your post and see the magic.

These media elements are also very much required from the point of view of search engine optimization of your blog. Use an ai image maker to generate images related to your content. Work with a graphic design company to help create visually-appealing graphics to your blog content.

Conclusion and Call to Action

As we were discussing about the 4 basic components of a blog post, conclusion and call to action becomes the last but not the least element of the same. Conclusion of the blog post is very much required to let the reader stay on your blog or engage them with some other relevant content of your site.

As far as call to action is concerned, it can be any contact form, comments form, or anything which can ask the reader to take some action on your blog, it is very much important to decrease the bounce rate of your website and increase the time of stay of a person on your site.

How to Master the Art of Blogging?

Honestly, if you can master these basic components of blogging, soon you can become an expert blogger. You can also read my blogs on how to become an authority blogger and how to become a successful blogger.

As far as blogging is concerned, only creating a killer content is not enough which can make you an expert blogger. You also need to know how you can establish yourself as an authority of a particular field, and how you can reach to your reader base.

Other than developing a great blog, you also need to share it on social media sites, and you should also know the effective time when you can get the maximum returns. To manage this, you can also use a very popular tool klout, through you can share your blogs at the appropriate time and you can also check how effective and influential you are as far as your social network is concerned.

The most important thing which I usually say so many times is that we should have the confidence and passion towards blogging. To be very frank, you will come through different successful bloggers, who will guide you to make a successful blog, but then it is you only who need to focus on your blog to make it a successful one.
