Do You Consider Yourself as a Bad Blogger?
This blog post of mine is for newbie bloggers, or the bloggers who do consider themselves as a bad blogger. Do you consider yourself as a bad blogger? Don’t lose hope; you can really improve your blog.
Read on this blog post of mine to understand how to improve yourself as a blogger and convert your bad blog into an excellent one?
Don’t be surprised to hear this, but sometimes I even consider myself as a bad blogger. Do you know why?
The reason being sometimes I don’t even like whatever I write for my blogs. It really gives me a bad feeling and hence I do consider myself as a bad blogger. Other thing which I usually say is my poor English knowledge, and this is something which you can clearly see in the form of grammatical mistakes on my blogs.
These are some of the reasons why I do consider myself as a bad blogger.
Do you too consider yourself as a bad blogger, the reason being any one like poor English, free blogs, free templates or design, or anything else? If you too think in this way then you should check these points in this blog post of mine.
Confidence is the key my dear friends. No matter what fields you chose for yourself, but you need the confidence to survive there. Similarly while blogging you might encounter many people who will try to degrade your confidence level so that they can persuade you.
In my case too many people pointed out that my English is poor and I should not write. But then I realized the importance of my writings. Many people say that I use to write in simple language and it becomes easier for them to understand. It always gives me the confidence and takes me out from this feeling of bad blogger syndrome.

It usually happens with many bloggers that they won’t be able to start. It is one kind of hesitation which prevail them to begin the concept on which they wanted to write. It is quite a usual thing for many people who know what to write but hesitantly wonder what to write when they start writing.
Don’t worry, it is a usual feeling. If you will stick with these things then you won’t be able to write a single post my dear friend. Even spending 6 years in the field of blogging, I too sometimes failed to write anything, though the topics and concept is already clear in my mind.
Here again the role of confidence plays a crucial role. Don’t worry bro, if you start writing something in which you have the interest, soon you will get the flow and become a blogger whose next posts are anticipated by many readers.
Believe me it takes hell lot of time to become a good blogger. It is a continuous process and you need to spend your time, money and energy on it.
Well, when I said you need to spend your time, money and energy on your blog so that you can become a good blogger, you might ask me how money is going to play a role in it.
There are thousands of bloggers out here who use to blog for free. Anyone can have a blog on Blogger (BlogSpot) platform or wordpress.com platform, where they don’t need to spend a single penny to do blogging. Then why am I talking about investing money?
Well, let me tell you, one of the main reasons which might stop you to become a good blogger is actually sticking to this free blogging concept. Honestly, blog is your identity. If you don’t have any unique identity, you will certainly elope in the crowd.
If you have the confidence that I am a good blogger, and I will stick to the free blogs only, it will also make you a bad blogger. Since, neither readers nor the search engines will consider your blog as a serious affair; soon you will have this feeling of being a bad blogger.
It is the time to upgrade your blog to self hosted blog, or you can also opt for a domain name for your BlogSpot or wordpress.com sub domain. Reason being it will help you to establish your unique identity.
You can read this blog post on how to become an authority blogger along with how to become a successful blogger, and how to transfer your blogger blog into self hosted WordPress blog? Hope these can be a useful resource for you.
Patience is the key for anything in this life. If you ask me, one of the most popular blog post of mine is on the importance of patience only. Patience is not only important for a happy life, but it is also important for blogging as well.
If you do consider yourself as a bad blogger, then try to upgrade yourself and your blog as well. Try to write useful blogs for your readers, and upgrade the domain name and hosting of your blog as suggested above and then share regular blog posts and have patience. Soon you will also become a pro blogger.
You know the secret that practice makes a man perfect. Similarly if you practice blogging regularly and do update your blog consistently, you will soon become a good blogger.
It will certainly grow the readership of your blog and people will start talking about you and your blog.
This is something which is crucial if you want to stay away from this bad blogger syndrome. But do remember that these things cannot be developed overnight. It requires lots of efforts and hard work to have a unique voice and concept on your blog.
You should always try to develop these things in your blogs as well.
Let me tell you an interesting story. A few days back I purchased the first DSLR of my life. I had a passion about my blog and photography as well, but seriously speaking I am a newbie for photography. This is the reason why I went to seek help from one of my blogger friend Vivin from Gizmo Maniacs.
He suggested me a very nice line. He told me that no matter if we are unable to capture a perfect snap, and the image which looks on the camera display might look bad to us, but still don’t stop yourself to click further and don’t even delete them, as they might look different and better on a PC or laptop. The camera display might not give you the best views of your pictures.
The same applies to a blog as well. No matter if you do like it or not, but others might have a different opinion about it. Never discard it.
Try to write as much as possible and publish them as well. With this suggestion I would like to finish this discussion over here only 🙂
I think I am a bit of a narcissist that way Alok 😛 😀 .. I have always considered myself good no matter how bad I have been 😀 .. Kinda incorrigible optimism you can say amongst many other things 😀 .. Humor aside, I think like you said patience is the key here and rest of them follow. I have always realized or felt one thing about business. The growth is usually exponential, it starts on at a very low pace and sometimes almost non existential but when it picks up, my god it is an amazing feeling to say the least 🙂
Ha ha. Good to hear that Vinay 🙂
You are absolutely right about the exponential growth of businesses. 🙂
Hi Alok and Dear Friends
“If you have the confidence that I am a good blogger, and I will stick to the free blogs only, it will also make you a bad blogger.” Very Intelligently Placed, Alok. 😉 I kinda like it.
Well…. it appears on first look that I wrote it for teasing purpose. But let me be very clear about it. I mean it seriously. Alok made a very strong point. It’s a general psychology of mankind that we don’t care about free things. Whatever we get free as gift or easily we don’t see any value in it. It simply doesn’t arouse that enthusiasm. Same is the case with blogging.
When you invest a little in blogging then you start taking it seriously. When you take it seriously, you work with passion. The dedicated work always yields good result. And good end result indeed boost confidence.
Hope you’re having Great Days!
Exactly my point Ravish. When no one will take your blog seriously then one day you will feel demotivated. So why to wait for that one day?
Thank you so much Ravish for sharing your opinion about this post.
Hehe..I’m with Vinay in this matter 😛 😀
But you’ve really explained and discussed the matter very well and I also agree that patience is the key-word. 🙂
Thank you so much Maniparna 🙂 I am extremely delighted that you liked it 🙂
Alok, Really you have mentioned the valuable thing for a blogger..Good going. It is full of information and i have respect for your raised points…
Thank you so much Charles. I am delighted that you liked it 🙂

Thanks! 🙂
Thank you so much Nikita, I am glad that you liked it 🙂 Thanks for all the appreciation 🙂
Nicely expressed as usual, Alok 🙂
I agree with both Vinay & Ravish 🙂
I consider myself as a poor Blogger as I haven’t blogged about so many topics that I plan to blog…
So many ‘drafts’ lying yet to be published & so many posts in my head…
Thank you so much Anita. I am delighted that you liked it. You are not a poor blogger, drafts are not a big deal Anita. It is known as we started something but did not get the feeling to complete it. Hopefully someday you will clear the backlog too 🙂
Alok sir, I don’t know how to thank you for this post as it has come at the right time, as a blessing for me. 🙂 These days, I am feeling so demotivated regarding my blog as I am a newbie and often I feel clueless what purpose my blog serves or whether I am blogging correctly. I’d even thought to stop blogging. But, as you have said, confidence, patience and a little bit of intelligence are the keys to a good blog. I hope I can motivate myself now to make proper changes in my blog and continue blogging. Thanks a lot sir. 🙂
Dear Kunal, as I said already you need not to feel demotivated for anything. I am always there for motivating you and other bloggers who feel like that 🙂
Not only this post , but yours approx all post are really beneficial for newbies or existing bloggers . Thnx for ur valuable words
Thank you so much Yogi Saraswat jee. I am extremely delighted that you liked it 🙂
Very useful post! Whatever I write, I feel it imperfect and it requires great courage to publish the work. This is why sometimes I am not able to publish anything for a long period. Also, there are many topics, which I have started but left incomplete. Now, I will try to practice your advice that “Try to write as much as possible and publish them as well”. Regarding upgrading my blog, I honestly I never thought about it before reading this post, but still it will require lot of confidence to take this step! Thanks for the enlightening post!
Dear Ratna, thanks for sharing your opinion with us. I am delighted that you liked it, and am happy that you feel a bit motivated to share your works. Though as far as upgrading your blog is concerned, every blogger who is using the blogspot or wordpress.com blog should upgrade their blog ASAP. It is very much required. You should check my blogs on how to do so, or you can also contact me directly for any help.
I always keep check on myself if I am really good or not. I know I have yet to polish my language and photography skills. When I look back on my old posts, I feel I have definitely improved.
Thanks for the encouraging post for those who think they are bad bloggers.
Thank you so much 🙂
Thank you Alok ji for your useful insights on blogging. Hope I would stick by it to create something unique out of my blogging.
Thank you so much Janak 🙂
