We all know that a blog can bring success to any website or person. But do you all know how to make a blog successful? Read on this blog post of mine on how to make a successful blog?

What makes a blog a success? How can you define the success of a blog?

Well, if you ask me I might say that if your blog can influence others, or have the capability of letting others become your followers, then I will say that your blog is a success.

No matter on what niche you blog, but the factor which can differentiate your blogs from other blogs is how influential you are among your readers. If you have the capability of influencing your readers through your blog, you are a successful blogger in my opinion.

There are some key things which can make a blog successful. By saying successful, I want to say that things which can help you to establish your credibility through your blog.

Here are some essential things which are required for a successful blog:

Different Blog

After all a successful blog is the one which must be different than other blogs of that niche. Different blog simply does not means that it should look different in look wise, but along with it should also have differences in the way content is presented, or tone of the post and content as well.

To be very frank, if you will search for some recipes online, you might be able to come through hundreds or thousands or even more blogs on the same recipe. And now if you have decided to develop a food blog, do tell me how will it be different than others?

The thing which will make you different is a unique name and a unique voice. Unique name will be your identity, if you are using a free blogging options like BlogSpot (blogger) or WordPress, then you might not expect to have a unique name.

It might be unique in the perspective that no one will have the same domain name like myblog.blogspot.com but then it won’t remain a unique one for your readers. They might consider your blog as a yet another free blog on BlogSpot. So the first thing which can separate your blog from others is your unique and self hosted domain name.

Second thing is the look of your blog, which can be achieved through different templates or themes. These can be free or premium as well. Free themes if customized can give a premium look as well, but I will suggest everyone to have a premium theme for their blog, which can give a unique look to it.

The third thing which is very much required behind the success of your blog is your own opinion or your voice. As we all have different voices, similarly it should also reflect through your blog posts. The way we will present our blogs, it will become our personality and your readers will recognize your blog posts through your writing only.

Always remember the fact that a blog sounds interesting to a reader only if it is presenting something new, fresh, interesting or different things to them.

It is because of the facts that blogs are supposed to reveal the solutions, solutions towards some problems which arise in our daily life. No matter from which field, but a blog will be successful if it can be able to provide the perfect solution to a user’s problem.

Just because your friends do have a blog, you too started a blog is not a good thing. Simply because to copy someone’s passion; you should not start a blog. You should also have the passion towards blogging.

Try to solve the problems which we face in our daily life through your blog. Try to address some needs or desires of people through your blog. This will make them closer to your blog.

Honestly there is no difference between a blog and a book. Both of them can be liked by people based on how near the content of the same are to their hearts. The only difference is that blogs are free while books are required to purchase before reading. This is the reason why users first go through the books, author name, author’s credibility, its reviews, etc. to decide if they want to purchase a book or not, while blogs are free and anyone can read it.

People love reading those books which they found closer to their heart. Similar things apply to the blogs as well. You need to write something which readers can relate upon.

Outstanding Content

Remember the fact that successful blogs will obviously have outstanding content than any other mediocre blogs like mine. I do accept the truth that I am not a great blogger, my English knowledge is poor and my blogs have so many grammatical mistakes, and hence my blogs fall into mediocre blogs category.

If you are into online marketing then you will understand the importance of outstanding content behind the success of your website. Remember the fact that if you have the ability to write compelling content then you can leave a mark behind your readers mind. Else people will forget you soon.

Consistency

Consistency is something which can make you successful and outstanding. If you are consistent with your blog, you will surely be remembered by your readers. Some people blog on daily basis, some people blog on weekly basis, some bloggers even has the schedule of fortnight too, while some prefer to do blog on monthly basis.

Whatever be your schedule of blogging, try to remain stick with it.

Connect with Readers

Though I mentioned it in the first point as well that connecting with your readers is very much required for the success of your blog. Other than content, consistency, well-designed blog, connection with your readers is something which can make you successful.

I guess I wrote a blog on the best SEO advice to any blog and the point which I mentioned over there is of writing for your readers only. It is something which can make you successful as a blogger as well and help you to connect with your readers and it will also make your blog a hit on search engines.

Other than it you should also try to connect with your readers through responding to their comments, writing posts as per their needs and visiting and appreciating their blogs as well.
