How to Make Quality Content on your Blog?
Quality content is the most essential element required for the success of any blog. Don’t know how many times I and all other online marketing guys said this. But do you know how to make quality content on your blog?
Read on this blog post of mine to understand the secrets which can help you to produce so called quality content on your blog.
Although I have already written blogs on the topics like how to write killer blog posts for your blog and 7 ingredients which can help you to improve your blog content, but then I realized that there are a few more things which I can include in regards to how to make quality content on your blog.
Honestly we always say that we must need to produce quality content to make our blog a better place, which can be liked by readers, and search engines as well, and better readership and earning potential, but then many bloggers asked me how? I mean is there any recipe which can help them to produce this so called quality content for their blog?
Let me ask you the ingredients which can make a piece of content into quality one?
Obviously the first thing which you all will say is the uniqueness of the blog. Let me tell you one thing, if you Google on how to make quality content you will get hundreds of very nicely written posts for the same. If you search for a keyword which you think no one else will be interested to search for, that too will return some posts exactly matching your keywords.
So what is the point in writing on a topic which has already been covered by 1000 times?
This is something which might demoralize you as a blogger, but it is a fact.
If you are thinking to write on the release of iPhone 6 even before it’s got released, the moment you hit the publish button you will realize that there are already hundreds of post on the same topic iPhone 6. Unless and until you are a person who has to announce something then only you can write on something which will be unique in real sense.
Then how to counter this?
No matter if a particular topic has already been covered by thousands of times before, but still it is your duty to make it unique. After all you can put some things which no one can be able to read at any places. You can give your inputs which will be the outputs of your own experiences, and you can make your blog posts unique.
Are you writing a blog on a topic which has already been touched by many people? Analyze after finishing your post, how your post is better than any other posts on the same topic?
What good information are you offering to your readers which they cannot found on any other site which has the same title?
Well these might be considered as the unique things only, but then all these unique things should make your blog post better than any other post on the same topic.
Let me give you an example, a few days back I was reading a blog post by one of my blogger friends on men and women and their differences as far as love and relationships are concerned. Believe me there are probably thousands of posts on exactly the same things, but then I found her post as one of the best and unique as far as the topic is concerned. Plus the way she chose the title of the blog, it might not give her some SEO benefits, but then it is certainly making her post as unique and interesting. You can also check her post at: Men are RASAGULLAS. Women are JALEBIES. Both are different sweets of India, but RASAGULLAS are considered as straight forward, while JALEBIES are considered as a complex one 🙂
So this is clearly an example of quality content.
The next thing which can spoil the quality of content is whether it has related to or matching your niche or not? Let me tell you an example, if you are running a blog on mobile phones then sharing a recipe of a sweet dish will suit you?
Obviously not, your blog readers are use to read about different types of mobile phones launching, their specifications, different version of Androids, iOS, etc. and a “Gajar ka Halwa Recipe” will surely spoil your blog only.
But yes these days’ blogs are having multi categories, so it can be possible to post blog on any topic of your choice, but then remember one thing to establish authority you should blog on a particular niche only. Having different types of topics on your blog is actually not that much effective than writing on a single genre.
The best way to make your blog posts unique is to give links to very high quality blogs, articles from your post, like I did above in this post. You can also put relevant high quality videos on your post; it will also make your content as a high quality one. You can also include some infographics into it.
Infographics, videos are some outbound links on your blog, which in a way dangerous too, as Google says that linking to poor quality sites is harmful for the health of your own site, but then linking to high quality or government or educational sites or institutional sites is not at all harmful.
In fact it is better for the SEO of your website as well. You can simply links Wikipedia from your blog for related information.
We already know the SEO importance of images on a blog post but you should remember one thing that images with the content of the post makes it a quality blog. In addition to this you should also remember the fact that these images should be relevant to your content. If you can create images like I do it will surely not going to make your blog post a quality post.
So these are some of the tips which I can give on how to make quality content for your blog. I hope you found it useful. Please do share your opinion about this blog post of mine. I would be happy to hear your views on it.
Nice one Alok :).. I loved the title – men are like rasagullas and women are like jalebis 😀 😀 .. I see the point in the uniqueness of content and the way it is presented. I think it nicely gels to one’s individual style of writing and adding value to content at any place is always a great thing to do..
I have not worked much on outbound links but it sure sounds pretty exciting. I will keep that in mind for my further posts.
Quality & Unique content is indeed essential in this e-world as we need to be apart from the me-too content.
Nice points, Alok 🙂
You are absolutely right Anita, and your write ups actually reflect the same as well 🙂
