  1. This is nice.. I am sure people will find it extremely helpful when it comes to installing new templates. I always thought that the available ones are very limited and compromise the look and feel of the site. This one will surely help make an impact 🙂

    1. You are absolutely right Vinay, the template options with blogger is too pathetic. 🙂 Thank you so much buddy for all the supports 🙂

  5. Hi Alok, Timely post and yes, have been going through these nightmares as well. I was on blogger for nearly six years, before I decided to go my own way (with my own website), via WordPress. I have routed my blogger site to my site, currently until I can finalize, if both should be seperate… (Suggestion appreciated 🙂 )

Still trying to come to terms with it, and I guess the initial issue always is that WP is not exactly the most user friendly site (you sort of have to reach some level of expertise before you can really play around). Blogger might have had fewer themes, but the two good things were… Their Free samples were always more than what WP ever offered, and their settings, or playing around with your template layouts, was absolutely simple, with more freedom than what WP provided…..

Finding some good solutions though your poss.

    1. Dear Rajesh, first of all thanks for your visit over here and sharing your concerns with us. Buddy, as per my suggestion you should not have both the sites, rather you should redirect your blogger blog to your self hosted WordPress one. In my opinion having a self hosted blog than a blogger blog is always better.

Though I do support whatever you said, but still WordPress is still better than Blogger. It gives you the convenience, freedom and the bets thing is that you can play with as many plugins as you want to include as many functionality on your blog.

You can read my blog on https://www.inewsindia.com/2014/09/11/how-to-transfer-your-blogger-blog-to-self-hosted-wordpress-blog/ 🙂 Do let me know if you have any other doubt…

Definitely of great help to Blogger users.

BTW, WP is not allowing to to install third-party templates…like the one that comes with ‘IndiWallet’ …any suggestion on that ?

    1. Thank you so much Maniparna. I am glad that you liked it.

I guess Maniparna, you are talking about wordpress.com blog, in that case yes, there are some restrictions in installing templates or plugins. This is the reason why I always suggest everyone to have self hosted WP blog not wordpress.com or blogspot.com blogs.

  7. A very good step by step guide, very helpful to less experienced bloggers

    1. Thank you so much Sampat Kumari jee 🙂
