What a perfect post to see after watching Satyameva Jayante. Sports bring a character transformation as you mentioned. It builds a strong attitude to comfort yourself when you fail and get along with it as a part of life and bounce back with a stronger self.
I think there should be a physical training hour everyday in school. I guess most of schools follow the pattern. We had the same in our school but the school converted all the PT hours into special classes as we grew.-
100% agreed with your opinion Vidyashree, I am really glad that you visited my blog and liked it and supported it as well π Thank you so much Vidya.
Wish schools should put compulsory marks for sports as well in all the examinations…

This is beautiful Alok :). I had written an essay on sports a few days back for one of the schools. It is really a lovely thing playing sports, the sheer energy, the adrenaline rush, team spirit, meeting new people, getting up from a failure make such a huge difference π
This sure is a really nice set of points Alok. Go Sports!

That’s why I always encourage my students to play games and participate in sports. Curiously, today students are more interested in playing with their electronic gadgets.

Yes Sir, you are absolutely right. There was a time when kids were use to play outdoor games, but now since parents are too busy in their life, kids are more concerned about indoor games only. They prefer playing with their electronic gadgets only…

Great post sir, i agree with all your points especially to stay fit & handle stress. Now a days people are suffered from stress and some other Physical discomforts like sugar, fat, blood pressure, etc., because the Physical activity has decreased. So playing games are one of the useful things for our body and life, but nobody have a time to play.

Thank you so much Rajkumar, I am glad that you liked it. You are actually absolutely right. People are facing these things just because the physical activity has decreased. We need to play games to remain fit π

Great post Alok. Advantages of playing games and being a sports person are very well summarized. π This generation, sadly, is more interested in playing computer games…
-
Yes Maniparna you are absolutely right and am worried this is the reason why obesity is becoming common in this generation. Kids should start playing outdoor games…

Very inspiring article Alok. My Sport’s teacher in school used to say “Swastha dimaag mein Swastha Vicharon ka janm hota hai”. and to keep the brain healthy one should participate in sports. He always used to encourage we kids to choose whatever games we like and play it. I can relate his teachings through all the pointers you have discussed in this post. Lovely read…..:)

Thank you so much Priyashi, I am glad that you liked it. You are absolutely correct that βSwastha dimaag mein Swastha Vicharon ka janm hota haiβ. I always believe and trust on the same π
