I was just wondering that I didn’t get the chance to write on self improvement from so many days. So here I am with this new post on 10 things which sports teach us.
Sports play a crucial role in our life. They not only helps us to stay fit and fine but also teaches us many things which are quite useful for our life. Last day only, I went for a match of Badminton during early morning and got the chance to see the #LetsPlayIndia and #MumkinHai movement by Satyamev Jayate, a famous serial by Bollywood legend Aamir Khan.
The first episode of this season was based on the importance of sports in our life. Inspired from the same I decided to write something on sports in our life only.
10 Things which Sports Teach Us!
10 Things which Sports Teach Us!
Here are the 10 things which sports teach us:
Team Spirit
Team Spirit
Be it any individually playing sports like Badminton, Tennis, etc. or a team game like Football, Cricket, Hockey, etc. every game teaches us the lesson of team spirit. Combined efforts of a team game and individual efforts of a single player games, always gives the positive things and feelings to the person who is participating.
In my opinion team spirit is the best thing which sports, like those that can be wagered on 카지노, teach us. Schools, colleges, etc. should have sports as a mandatory subject and should also promote students who have interest in any game. We do need the feelings of team spirit in all the fields of life, be it a job or in an MNC or a programmer job in an IT company or a field job or a sales job, or handling any issue at your home, we always need the team spirit to manage things smoothly. And this lesson can only be learnt by playing sports in our childhood.
To Stay Fit
To Stay Fit
This is the most common advantages of playing sports. Undoubtedly in this age of hustle and bustle, we all are facing many health related issues like blood sugar, blood pressure, etc and all these basic diseases can be cured with the help of playing games regularly.
Undoubtedly sports help us to stay fit and keep away from these diseases quite easily.
Never Give Up
Never Give Up
One of the most important features which sports develop inside us is the attitude of never give up. You might lose a game or match but at the end you always try to win. This tendency can only be developed by the help of sports only.
Do not be ever defeated by anyone, this is the most obvious takeaway from any sports which we play. Obviously it can have negative impact as well but in most of the cases sports only generate this feeling in a positive and constructive way.
Handle Defeats
Handle Defeats
Never give up attitude also generates the ability to handle the defeats. If you are playing sports from a very earlier stage of your life then you must be able to handle any kind of defeats, failure, etc. in your life.
I guess it is something which is very much required these days. People are seriously unable to handle defeats these days. Indigenous Sports Heroes Lesson plans in Canada can help our society to overcome from such issues.
Learn New Things
Learn New Things
Learning new things is one of the finest outcomes of playing sports. No matter how expert you are but every day you can come up with or have to make new strategies to handle your opponents. In addition to that no matter which strategies you decided but when you went to the ground you need to implement something else depending on the situation.
All these things are quite helpful in learning new things and techniques in our life.
Positive Attitude
Positive Attitude
One of the best outcomes of playing sports is that it teaches us the positive attitude. Sports or games are something which can take away the negativity of our life and provide us the approach to handle them in a positive manner.
We know the importance of positive attitude in our life. At our work place and at our home, we badly need the positive approach to sustain.
Care for Others
Care for Others
It is indeed true that those who play sports always care for others. While playing any sport people understand the quality to care for another person before you and it is a great quality.
With time it becomes crucial element of a person’s life.
Responsibility Handling
Responsibility Handling
No doubt that sport teaches us to handle responsibilities in a better way. You will be surprised to hear the fact that even the techniques of understanding management techniques can be learned from sports.
It is indeed true that sports can help you to handle the responsibilities in a better way.
Crisis Management
Crisis Management
Crisis is part of our life and I have seen many people to fail at the time of crisis. Learning crisis management is itself a big task and honestly sports teach us the same.
If you can be able to learn crisis management, you can easily handle any pressure in your work life or at your home as well.
Handle Stress
Handle Stress
So as I said that sport teaches us so many positive things like positive attitude, crisis management, handling responsibility, learning new things, etc. along with all these it also teaches us how to handle stress in our life. Though I have written a few blogs on how to manage stress, but ideally nothing can beat playing sports to overcome them.
So to make your life perfect and better it is advised for everyone to go out to play sports and learn so many things in life.
Honestly the benefits of playing sports do not lies with the above things only, it also helps us in the process of character development, morale boosting, following disciplines, and learn from competition. All these things are very crucial in our life. Learning them from playing a game is not a bad deal either.

Yes Sir, you are absolutely right. There was a time when kids were use to play outdoor games, but now since parents are too busy in their life, kids are more concerned about indoor games only. They prefer playing with their electronic gadgets only…

Yes Maniparna you are absolutely right and am worried this is the reason why obesity is becoming common in this generation. Kids should start playing outdoor games…
Very inspiring article Alok. My Sport’s teacher in school used to say “Swastha dimaag mein Swastha Vicharon ka janm hota hai”. and to keep the brain healthy one should participate in sports. He always used to encourage we kids to choose whatever games we like and play it. I can relate his teachings through all the pointers you have discussed in this post. Lovely read…..:)
Thank you so much Priyashi, I am glad that you liked it. You are absolutely correct that “Swastha dimaag mein Swastha Vicharon ka janm hota hai”. I always believe and trust on the same 🙂
