Thanks Alok :). He he it was an interesting headache the plug in had caused. Very interestingly, it was rated high and also been downloaded a decent number of times.. It acted quite weird and I had to go deactivate everything to come back to the original. It looks alright now :).. or atleast till i make the next goof up π π

I guess you should post comment and review about your experience on that plugin. It will definitely aware all other bloggers who want to use that plugin.
BTW Vinay, I saw the similar situation on your blog Yesterday evening also. Did you rectified that?

There are numbers of Plug-Ins available op the internet. I saw few of them slowed down my blog. So, I am confused to select the best one. Thanks to Alok, that your post aided me to know the exact way to select Plug-Ins for my blog.
Thanks a lot.-
Thank you so much Swapnadip, I am glad that you liked it. Honestly we should not have so many plugins on our blog. It is advisable to get rid of all unnecessary plugins.

I think it was the related posts plugin Alok which caused this entire problem which was very strange because it is a part of the trusted jet pack services from WordPress. Ideally I was sure that this could never cause any problem for me, but somehow it did end up giving quite a lot of trouble.
I think it is combining with some other plug in and giving this issue for me. I am not sure what to do about it though. For now I have disabled the related posts part for wordpress and the one by zemanta as well. So hopefully it should not cause any trouble from now..

Hmm, better to uninstall all the plugins Vinay and then install them one by one to see the impact. I am quite sure you will identify and rectify it π Thanks for sharing your comment π

Hi Swapnajeet,
I had a similar thing with the speed and it was almost at 4s to load the site.. I recently installed W3 profiler and smush it – 2 separate plug ins which have increased the speed a lot and have contributed to the increased traffic as well. They have brought down the load time to about 1.2s. Thought I’d let you know π
Cheers,
Vinay-

Hi vinay , I am really happy that you shared your own experience here but Vinay, my name spells as “Swapnadip” and not “Swapnajeet”. I also thank you that you mentioned some plug-ins which increased loading speed of your blog. I want to use them on my blog.
