The Nokia XL IndiBlogger meet!
It was almost two three months back when we last attended any IndiBlogger meet, and frankly I was eagerly missing it. To be very frank IndiBlogger meets are like an energy booster for me, I don’t know about others, though for me it is an instant energy booster.
It really gives immense pleasure to meet fellow bloggers, and celebrate an evening for a particular cause. Mostly I do like the concept of the freedom which bloggers had to enjoy in those meets.
So after so many days we got yet another chance to participate in a meet. And when it has the hosts like Vikas Khanna (the Master Chef) and Rajiv Makhni (the Cell Guru), how can I simply ignore to participate in this event?
The event was organized by Nokia, the famous mobile phone company, to promote the newly launched handset Nokia XL and let us aware about the features of this mobile phone. As this mobile phone was launched recently only and there were a few myths about it going on in market, so this event made us aware about the myths and their respective truths about Nokia XL.
One of the most popular myths associated with Nokia XL was that it is not a multitasking phone, and the other one was that you cannot use the Google Play on this phone, and hence you won’t be able to download any Android apps on this phone.
As the event started with the introduction of different bloggers; mostly the IndiBloggers who were attending the first IndiBlogger meet expressed their happiness and enthusiasm and introduced themselves with us.
Before that this was the first time when IndiBlogger team did checked the identity card of each of the attendee and also used a seal for the event, although as far as I know, I mean the events which I attended in the past never used these two things, but it was nothing wrong in it. I really like it and my wife even asked me to click for her seal 🙂
Myths and Truths Related with Nokia XL
Myths and Truths Related with Nokia XL
Just after the introduction part IndiBlogger team had their world famous Hurr-Hurr which brought some excitement among the bloggers and then the real event got started. Anoop handed over the mike to the hosts of the event and Rajiv Makhni and Vikas Khanna started the show with Poonam from Nokia team.
Although Vikas Khanna was having 103 fevers, but still he managed to host the event brilliantly with Rajiv Makhni, who this time also introduced her little angel to the IndiBloggers.
So at the very beginning of the event they clarified both the myths associated with the Nokia XL phone. As they illustrated the live things to clear the doubt that Nokia XL is not a multitasking phone. They displayed us how you can do multitasking with the help of this phone, which we normally do.
Similarly they also explained that Nokia XL does not have the facility of Google Play store, but then it is not true that you simply cannot download any Android Apps from it. You can simply search for the required apps and they will suggest you the store from where you can simply download it without any hassle.
Although I did not get the chance to ask them if it is safe to download those android apps from the third party stores, but truly it was really bothering me around.
I hope Vikas Khanna, Rajiv Makhni and the Team Nokia will surely read this blog post of mine and anyone from them will respond to this query of mine.
Features of Nokia XL
Features of Nokia XL
As the name suggests XL means the extra large, we thought it to be a 7 inch screen smartphone, but it is in fact a 5 inch LCD touch screen mobile phone. The event was also having a section in which everyone is being asked for bigger is better because?
I guess this was something which increased our attention towards the bigger size of this phone.
Coming back to the features of the Nokia XL handset, it’s a dual SIM (both GSM) mobile phone and having the camera of 5 MP primary and 2 MP as secondary camera. You can simply click a selfie from it, as well as you can also click a velfie through it.
What is a Velfie?
What is a Velfie?
You must be thinking about what does velfie means? Like we too were amazed hearing this, but then it is nothing new. As many of us are already aware what a selfie is, like it is a picture taken by self only; similarly a velfie is a video taken by us only.
Nokia XL is a smartphone with 1 GHz dual core processor, now this is something which can disappoint a few people out here.
Somehow you can think that it won’t be a faster phone, but let me clear you all over here that they are not using the pure Android in this phone, but the OS of this smartphone is of Nokia X Software platform of version1, which goes well with this processor.
Thus it is becoming a good phone even when we do multitasking with it.
With its price slightly more than 11000 Rs. I cannot place it in my list of smartphones under Rs. 10000 post. Although its features are really better than many other phones of the similar range.
So that was all about the Nokia Apptasting Indiblogger meet, and we did enjoyed lots of events hosted by Rajiv Makhni and Vikas Khanna. Both of them are no doubt one of the finest hosts in this world. My wife was more than happy to see this picture which I took over there with the master chef:
Leaving you all behind with some of the pictures of the event:
Hope you enjoyed my experience over there. I am seriously waiting for your comments about this blog post of mine.

Was just meaning to ask you since i am not that compu savvy…how do i get more traffic to my blogs. And by traffic i mean my kind of traffic people who r interested in plants , trees , nature. i have done nothing to make my page look attractive. All i do is just pen my thoughts and post. Don’t know if you are the right person to ask this but if you had to suggest something what would you suggest.
Yeah there was a long hiatus…but now i am back…would love to have some interaction. Stats tell me that i do get page views but then i am left wondering if i am really that boring…
Can u help me with some suggestions…i would be much obliged. Don’t care much for rank or titles but yes would like to meet and know from more of my tribe.

Thanks a lot Shivani, I am glad that you liked my blog and my efforts. 🙂
Thanks for your visit and sharing your comment over here. To be very precise getting traffic is quite easy, but to get the relevant and targeted traffic is too difficult. But then it is also not impossible.
You just need to target the keywords for which your targeted audience might search for, then you will have to generate posts based on those keywords only.
You will have to understand a bit of SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, through which you can promote your blog posts to display in the search results pages. I guess you can read my blogs on SEO and Blogging Tips and I am quite hopeful that you will be able to get the necessary information.
You can anytime seek any help regarding SEO to me. Once again thanks for your appreciating comment and visit to my blog.
