What is the Meaning of this Huge Victory of Narendra Modi?
Obviously this blog post of mine is about the awesome victory by Narendra Modi, or say Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in general elections 2014.
The poll results of 2014 general elections out here in India are truly an historic thing. Undoubtedly I am glad that I too participated in this event. You all know that I along with my wife voted as well and also appealed others to vote with these blog posts:
Voting – Rights of Every Citizen!
Please Vote: We have a responsibility!
Dance of Democracy in India!
As I analyzed the current situation in my last blog post after exit polls, I found most of them becoming true after poll results. Undoubtedly BJP who have the privilege of running the coalition free government will now enjoy the real meaning of majority by a single party in parliament. To be very frank during my life time I am first time seeing a single party getting majority in centre. Obviously INC has the same in 1984 but then I was little kid that time and don’t even remember the incidents.
Now let us discuss about how this huge victory was made possible by BJP and NDA in general elections 2014:
I would not be wrong if I say that the credit of this huge victory of Modi and party was highly influenced by this one point only. The best decision ever taken by Modi was to promote Amit Shah to Uttar Pradesh and it brought revolution.
Winning 71 seats from a single state, with 2 more seats by allies, is undoubtedly the best ever performance by BJP. And all the credits of the same will be given to Amit Shah. I am sure when Mayawati is blaming Shah for her defeat, she is actually saying it right but the allegations are not correct.
It is like the cat is scratching the pillar now.
Although 5 seats won by SP is also an alarming indication for their government in UP.
Unfortunately the oldest party of India faced such a bad defeat that it is really hard to believe for many of their supporters as well. This is for the first time that they don’t even get the chance to win a single seat from the states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and almost nil from the states like Madhya Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Himachal, and many other states.
They thought that with the division of Andra Pradesh they might be able to gain some seats from their also, but what a fool they became over there.
Unfortunately throughout the India, the oldest party of India won only 44 seats. Which is even less than the numbers required by an opposition party to elect the leader of opposition. Which is also even less than the seats won by BJP in a single state (Uttar Pradesh).
And now as Narendra Modi said that they will have to elect the leader of opposition in coalition only, hence they will have to.
Though it was a fun made by our next Prime Minister, but still it is true.
As far as the results are indicating, the vote bank politics has gone backwards this time. People do not voted based on religion or caste, but the only agenda in this election was development which Modi jee himself was trying to impose throughout the elections.
Now you must be thinking about development was okay but after all how did it spread so virally?
Was it because of advertisements as claimed by Congress party?
Or was it because of publicity and paid media as claimed by our very own Arvind Kejriwal and AAP (Aam Aadmi Party)?
Was it the impact of social media?
Well, to be very frank, no one can fool Indians with the help of advertisement, or paid media, and the votes which Modi Jee and his party received from states like UP and Bihar, were having the majority of the people who don’t even know what twitter is? They don’t even have the privilege of having an email account, how come they will be influenced by the social media then?
Another thing about paid media or advertisements are that the people from UP and Bihar don’t actually bother to give value what others are saying about someone, I mean what TV channels are saying, rather they form their own opinion based on words from mouths of their known people only.
In my opinion the best advertisement which BJP and Narendra Modi in particular get were through the mouth of those labors who went all across through UP and Bihar to Gujarat for earning and explained their condition to their friends and relatives out there in UP and Bihar.
Undoubtedly, this medium became viral and the best way to convince the voters of those two states. Other than those local condition and strategic management by Amit Shah and team were also there, but this single medium of advertisement overshadows any other medium of advertisements in UP and Bihar.
In the month of March when I visited Patna for the marriage of one of my friends, I met not less than 10-15 labors; who were returning from Gujarat and explaining all good things about their life and living conditions over there.
It truly was giving a good impression of the Narendra Modi’s rule, and to be very frank none of them were getting any endorsement fee from it. But still they all were endorsing Narendra Modi.
You will be surprised to know this fact that all those brand ambassadors of BJP and Modi Jee, about whom I am talking about over here are don’t even has reach towards cable television, they all has the capacity to see only Doordarshan, the national DD channel, which were actually endorsing Congress party only.
Although BJP got only 31% of the vote share from all over India, but still with a clear majority BJP and Narendra Modi in particular are truly become the new ray of hope for every Indians now.
No matter what scenario will come in future, but for now it is really true that Narendra Modi is the leader of the entire nation and he has the responsibility to bring the good days to people. My best wishes are there with Modi Jee and BJP.
Good take on Elections Alok !
