Affordable Handsets: Android, iPhone & iPad!
Low-priced handsets stand no chance in the mobile phone market when the consumers can afford the iPhone models, the iPad and good quality Android phones. The kind of business model that Apple follows for iPhone sales and distribution allows it a greater reach in its target market segment. A fraction of the actual cost along with a two year contract with a carrier gives you a product you aspire for and Apple continues to show high numbers in terms of sales year after year. As new models are launched, earlier models of Apple’s iPhone and iPad are selling in higher numbers owing to slashed prices.
Affordable iPhone and iPad
The launch of iPhone 4S has brought more good news for you. The prices of iPhone 4 and iPhone 3 GS have been slashed. In US, if you opt for an iPhone 3 GS 8 GB model along with a two year postpaid service contract with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, you pay nothing for the phone. It comes for free. Pay anything between $59.99 to $169.99 for your calls, data usage and messages on a monthly basis to get a brand new iPhone 3 GS for yourself. Similar deals are available on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S as well. Pay $199 for a 16 GB iPhone 4S or $99 for an iPhone 4 8GB. This is still much lower than the market price.
A service contract gives you respite from the high prices. A great deal for consumers indeed. You get access to thousands of free games and apps through the Apple app store. Most high end phones cannot match up to the features that iPhones offer. Low priced phones do not even come close. The obvious question then is, with such great offers for you why would you opt for something else? If you are an Android fan and prefer an Android phone over an iPhone, make sure that you opt for the right model. Markets with a higher percentage of pre-paid customers exhibit an inclination for the Android models.
Affordable & good quality Android phones
High end Android phones too are available with two year contracts. These are much more affordable than the iPhone even at their real cost. If you find the tariff plans that come with these contracts pricey, better wait and stick to the phone you have rather than opting for a low cost Android phone that gets no updates and virtually no new apps are compatible with the phone. What use is such an Android phone if you do not get access to apps and features that increase the desirability quotient of such phones? Galaxy S II and DROID RAZR apart from the soon to be available Nokia Lumia are the best options for you if not an iPhone. Nokia Lumia is a steal at $100. New phones are being launched with the Android Icecream sandwich and honeycomb operating systems. Do not opt for a bad phone with poor quality hardware at a cost only slightly lower than $100. Remember, you do have better options.
The launch of new models by organizations every now and then and the availability of high end models accompanied by a two year contract with telecom service providers give you numerous options to choose from. You can find a number of low priced phones but these do not quite offer the kind of quality an iPhone or a high end Android phone offers. Exercise your discretion in opting for the right model for you without having to pay a high cost.
