A few days back I was simply wondering what would happen to my email accounts after my death? Facebook, world’s number one social networking site provided the response of the same question which I think comes in the mind of all of us.
If I would ask you, what do you want to do before you die? What would be your response? I guess no one of us is prepared for answering this question. Frankly we all know that one day we will die, but none of us remain prepared to face the same.
Day before yesterday I came to know that now Facebook has launched one fantastic app namely “If I Die”, which will allow you to either send a text message or a video message to your friends after your death. Surprised?
No need to be surprised mate, it is possible now. With the help of this new app you can also store a text message or a video message which Facebook will post on your wall, once after your death. Basically If I Die is a free app and it can be considered as a will.
You can let others know about what you left behind. Frankly you would ask me how it will work.
Simple, the process is like this, you need to create a text or video message, in which you can share whatever you want, your life story, or a secret which you never disclosed with anyone, and then you need to select three trusted friends of yours who will frankly monitor that your last message should be delivered to your friends or not, once after you die.
Once your death is confirmed by Facebook, this app will share your message to your wall. It will be confirmed by the three trustees, whom you selected. Frankly speaking I was not aware that Facebook has the option of converting your account into a memorial once your death is being confirmed and your friends can only be able to see the same.
Frankly one Israelite company has developed this application, which is already becoming popular in Facebook. The story behind the creation of this app is that the engineer who developed this app was on a family vacation trip, while he missed a very close accident and survived anyhow. This incident inspired him to create the same.
So guys if you really want to leave a message for your friends, this app is really meant for you only.
