Let’s have a New Start!

People often think about how to find a new job, new skill, become location independent or have a significant change in person’s lifestyle. Change is not an easy task and not everyone can handle it. But if you are really keen in doing so then here are few steps to guide you on making a new start over today.

First thing you need to do is to determine what you really wish to do and what you are actually meant to do. Keep on saying “I don’t know what I want to do” will not work and you can keep this pity excuse aside for the time being. This is your life and you should know what you want to do with it. What are your field of interest, do you like talking to people, meeting new people, designing things, working as a wordsmith or something else? You can choose any field as per your interest. For instance, marketing field is good for people who like talking to people and number fascinates them. So, you can choose your field according to your interest.

Once you have determined what you actually want, next thing you need is focus. You need to focus on your target and work for it. Everyone has got a lot of free time to waste but if you really wish to make some changes then you will have to give up all this, change requires time investment and sacrifice from your side. If you have been wasting time watching TV, online chatting, reading unnecessary stuff or just using Facebook, then you will have to put a full stop to all of this. You will have to cut time on everything whether it is hanging out with friends, watching movies or listening to music, all this is just for a while till you succeed in what you desire.

Utilise your time to its maximum, for instance, you can read the newspaper while travelling on your way of home to office, listen to music while exercise. By this, you are performing two acts simultaneously and thus saving time. You will be up to date and no time will be wasted. Another most important thing to take care of is saving money. Ultimately you will be quitting your job for the thing you are most passionate about and you will need money to accomplish that. You can save money on things like food, internet connection, travelling expenses and so forth.

No matter what happens, you’ve learned a new skill, demonstrated your expertise, introduced yourself to a whole new field, and likely made friends you did not have before. Don’t be impatient if things don’t go perfectly, and definitely do not give up. If things do go well and clients or an employer pay you a lot for your new skill, be grateful and stick with them. Hard work and change can be addicting, but always putting this type of work before other things in your life can ruin relationships and even make you selfish making you always think about how other people “waste” your time, cost you money, or keep you from improving yourself. I know, I can now and then be a workaholic. Be happy. Take a breath. And, enjoy your new position in life.
