How to Get a Mentor for Strategic Business Imperative!
Undoubtedly good education and talents decide your success, but for majority of people goals are not set in a day. They are born to lead and change millions of fates worldwide. What push them to excel to such a level of business acumen, intelligence, foresightedness, and performance? The key to success is able guidance through veteran mentors who shape up the real lives.
Mentors aren’t only friends, parents, teachers, guides but they are genuine visions who can see deep down inside. They save from falling into traps and falling from any complex situation of life. As a cheerleader they boost up morale, but the essence of their importance can be reflected well in advices that they provide.
Importantly, new generation of entrepreneurs badly need able guidance from mentors as they start their ventures on the basis of a notion but soon want to turn it to be in multidimensional. However, almost everyone can have mentors but it is difficult to maintain the kind of relationships with their mentors. Most young entrepreneurs are not open to criticism and therefore, they do not always feel the need to be carried away. On the other hand, mentors should not dictate all the time and do unnecessary interference. For having a healthy relationship between the mentor and entrepreneurs, exchange of information in forms of questions and answers should be considered as the primary focus.
Following are the Ways to Get a Business Mentor:
Do Not Ask Anyone to be Your Mentor:You cannot ask anyone to be your mentor. A spark is needed to be clicked between both the parties and the information exchange can become a reality.
Appreciate Them:If you want to reach out to someone and get benefited by his or her advices, show them you appreciate them with your heart. Do not forget to comment on their write-ups, books and such others. Showing appreciation is definitely a smarter way to get noticed!
Age is Just a Number:Anyone can be a mentor. Do not really go by age. Most people believe that the mentor has to be older than you, but you need to find a person who can see the real you and help you become a better person.
Time is Key:In today’s fast life, you cannot take the risk of killing anyone’s time. Keep your dialogue brief and specific. Filter your questions and discuss what you keep going.
Prove your Competence:Importantly, you need to prove your quest of learning, experimenting and enhancing your skills. Without your love for betterment, a mentor can just do nothing!
A good mentor is a valuable investment. Every day, you will add up the interest of mature understanding and in-depth insight for attaining your end goals! Find the one who can fill up the gap between ‘who you are’ and ‘who you want to become’!
