Some Healthy Communication Tips for Relationships!
Well, we all know about the importance of communications in our life. The impact of a communication is that it can either break or make any relationships. So we should know about healthy communication, as it can always be helpful in making relationships. Here are a few tips which can help you to build healthy relationships.
Here are a few misconceptions or problems which we do have for a healthy communication:
Listening: Many people have the misconception that listening better will help in building good relationships, but it’s not true. Listening properly will help people to understand better, which can help in building relationships. No never try to Just Listen to your partner, rather simply listen properly.
Raising your Voice: Do you too think that raising your voice or yelling on your partner will help in building relationships? But it’s not true. You should not lose your patience at any time, as yelling will damage the relationships. Even in my professional life I have seen that many people raise their voice, when it is not at all required. Rather they can impress other person by simply telling their point properly that too in low voice. So for any relationships yelling or raising your voice will won’t work.
Avoid Talking on Difficult Things: Many people have the misconception that avoiding talk on difficult issues will never create any problem in any relationships, but frankly speaking it is more dangerous in relationships. You should clear all the difficult things with your partner and it will never create any problem in your life. Also it is valid for your professional life too; you should not need to avoid talking on difficult issues with your colleagues.
Never Jump to a Decision without Understanding: Jumping to a decision without getting complete information is really bad in any relationships as well as in professional life too. First you need to understand the things then only you will need to jump to a decision, it will always benefit you.
Now here are a few tips which can help you to do healthy communication:
Perfect Time: If you need to communicate with your partner on a difficult issue, then first check if it is a right time to talk to him/her. As for an example, your partner has just now reached from the office, and he is really tired and frustrated, and you started discussing some serious stuff with him then he will surely ignore the topic. So always check in with your partner to know if it’s a good time to discuss or not.
Avoid using You Made me Statements: Always try to emphasize on the “I” then the “You” term in an important discussion. As for an example telling “you made me so angry” will irritate your partner.
Discuss One Issue At a Time: This is the best tips for any communication. You should always discuss one issue at a time, and it will ease the problems.
I hope these tips will help you to build healthy communication and also remember that always ask questions if you do have any query. But remember you should be polite while asking questions.
