Another tip- Go window-shopping in the Mall! Only the partner should not demand to buy!!!I was checking my new Domain Name’ Alexa Rank & I found that my site has links in 2.

Ha ha Anita, that usually happens because when you submitted some comments on my site with a link back to your site, and the same time Google caches some post of mine over where your comment is there present on the sidebar, it consider it a link. And hence Alexa too consider that as a link but when you came to check, you are not finding any link just because your comment has now gone out of the latest comments section and hence you are unable to track it.
As far as the old ranking is concerned, Google is giving the value of those links, I mean with some time they will have those links, but as far as Alexa is concerned, am not sure if they will ever count those 186 links to new domain or not, as they works on the name of domain, not on the redirection I suppose.
And to your surprise when I checked the same for your site, I found it as 15 now, so soon you will have more than 186+ of links for your new domain as well.
