What is Alexa Rank?
Any one can ask me this question. The answer to this question is that Alexa Rank is the traffic ranking of a website depending on the Alexa Toolbar users. Alexa defines it as the result of analyzing the web usage of millions of Alexa Toolbar users and data obtained from other traffic data sources.
Alexa usually generates the traffic ranks depending on the traffic data of that website for last three months. People usually say that an Alexa Rank of less than 1,00,000 is assumed as a ranking of a very good site.
It is assumed that lower the Alexa ranking of a website it is heavily visited by the web users. There are lots of articles available on net about the information on how to increase the Alexa Rank of your website. I too read a lot of them, but never tried them on my website. The Alexa rank of my website was near to 1,00,000 mark from last three or four months but it despite my desire of reaching it to less than 1,00,000 value I never see it below 1,00,00 till Yesterday.
