Probably the most complex thing in our lives is relationships. You don’t even get a hint when they break. Making a relationship work is not something which happens automatically. You have work towards it step by step. It takes effort and hard work to make a relationship work. And since these days relationships break just with the wink of an eye, surviving a relationship has become very tough. Most people these days suffer from depression and unhappy social lives because their relationships don’t work. You will have to put in some amount of effort, only then will a relationship work. So let’s go through some “must do’s” for making a relationship click–
Don’t let your past relationships haunt you: The most common problem with many people is that they don’t get over their past relationships easily. Though it is true that when you are emotionally attached to a person, parting ways with him can become difficult but it’s not impossible. You have to accept that the relationship is no longer a part of your life and you have to get over it. When you forget your past, you become more ‘free’ and try to open to new people and possibilities.
Speak your mind: It is very important in any relationship to speak out your mind. When a person starts shying away from speaking openly to the other person in a relationship then it always creates problems. Also the possibilities of misunderstanding crop up when you do not talk out openly. Clearly stating what you want and expect is surely a better way.
Don’t change your inner self for any relationship: You may come across many relationships in your life where the other person demands you to change your personality or attitude. They may even ask you to do such things which you are not willing to do. In such a case, don’t ever surrender. You are what you are and the other person should love you and respect you for what you are, not for what you can become.
